james johnson, co-founder

James Johnson is a political adviser and pollster, having previously served as the Senior Opinion Research and Strategy Adviser to Prime Minister Theresa May. In that capacity he conducted opinion research and private polling, and presented recommendations to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, as well as the rest of Whitehall and the Conservative Party. James has also played an active role in a number of strategic communication and policy campaigns. James is a founding partner of JLP and also provides media commentary on the latest political and electoral developments.

tom lubbock, co-founder

Dr Tom Lubbock is a public opinion specialist having previously worked as an academic behavioural scientist at the University of Oxford, specialising in research methods and referendum campaigns. Between 2017-2019 he ran analytics and polling at Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ), working on tracking polling for the Prime Minister and end to end segmentations. Tom is a founding partner of JLP and is also an expert in American governmental institutions and politics.

Guy Miscampbell, director

Guy Miscampbell is a Director at J.L. Partners, leading on consulting and advisory work across electoral and corporate issues. He joined J.L. Partners after a decade of experience in UK and Canadian politics, including stints as a Special Advisor in No. 10 Downing Street and the Department for Education, and running the Conservative Party of Canada’s data operation in the 2021 election. Prior to this, Guy worked in a variety of policy and research roles, including as a Director at Stack Data Strategy, a Research Fellow at the think tank Onward, and at the consultancy WPI Economics. He holds an MPP from the University of Toronto where he was a Cadario fellow, and a BA from Durham university."
